Service Associate


SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The FSA delivers construction materials to customer job sites. Primary duties include loading trucks, including pulling and checking loads against work orders.  Additionally this position is responsible to assist the shop mechanic and shop manager as it pertains to shop operations.

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of the Central Ohio, Southwest Ohio, Lexington and Louisville Kentucky areas.

SKILLS:

The skill to effectively communicate with shop manager concerning the coordination of deliveries.

The skill to  Demonstrate customer service skills for jobsite delivery

The skills to manage one’s own time.

ABILITIES:

The ability to read a map and follow written or verbal geographic directions.

The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.

The ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information.

The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.

 

The ability to be a self-starter with a high level of energy.

The ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and in a timely manner.

The ability to maintain a high level of productivity.

The ability to be a team player willing to assist others for the good of the department & the company.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for planning and executing delivery activities, following planned delivery routes and unloading and checking materials.

Complete vehicle inspection report daily.

Safe loading and unloading of various construction sites

Hand stocking of construction materials.

Preparing and staging orders for customer deliveries and delivering to job sites.

Loading and unloading trucks in the shop and out at construction sites.

Demonstrate safe driving skills and adheres to company motor vehicle safety policies.

Handle paperwork, such as receipts or delivery confirmation notices.

Complete inspection reports for out-going and returned equipment.

Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation.

Assist in repair and routine maintenance on small tools and equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Class B CDL preferred
  • Ability to work variable hours
  • Ability to perform mechanical responsibilities as directed by the shop mechanic or shop manager.
  • Acceptable driving record and be insurable under Jostin motor vehicle insurance.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
